Blue Wave Hotel is located in Mamaia Nord, on the Black Sea shore, on D.C. 86 (Mamaia –Navodari Route), 2.7 km North of Mamaia, Romania`s topmost seaside resort. Mamaia Nord, also known as Mamaia Sat, is a brand new resort that quickly became a very desirable vacation destination thanks to its relaxing natural beaches, quiet surroundings, private vacation villas and family owned small hotels and restaurants, no more than minutes away from the excitement, attractions and nightlife of Mamaia.
Only 300 meters in front of the hotel, the beach can be reached by car or by foot. The seashore has abundant native vegetation bordering wide secluded beaches lined with fine sand. The perfect place for laying in the silky sand, enveloped by the warm sunlight, listening to the waves and the seagulls, breathing in the salty and invigorating marine air; a small paradise, peaceful, not at all crowded, natural and definitely relaxing for a anyone looking to spend some time away from the busy everyday life.
Blue Wave was built in 2006, four stories tall with room to expand: its foundation was designed and built to support two more levels if an addition is desired; a terrace on a flat roof would also be a good addition, possibly with a roof bar or jacuzzi, as well as an exterior glass elevator. The hotel is heading towards eventually becoming a small luxury, intimate hotel; our motto is: `At Blue Wave you are not just a guest, you are our personal guest!` and we take pride in accommodating our guests, in making sure to do our best to meet their needs and exceed their expectations!
The hotel has 23 rooms and one full apartment (sleeps 50+), an underground garage, parking, bar, terrace and garden. All rooms are spacious and have high ceilings. Blue Wave is built on a 652 square meters lot and has direct access to D.C. 86, the main street that connects Mamaia to Mamaia Nord. The building`s area is approximately 1225 square meters.
Entering the main level the reception is to the right, the bar and sitting area to the left; there is also a hallway to access rooms nr. 1 and 2, a full apartment and two restrooms. The underground garage has access from inside the hotel and the parking in front and back of the hotel altogether can accommodate 26+ cars.
There is a semicircular stairway leading to the upper levels. Each level has a spacious hallway/ sitting area, an apartment, three double rooms, two de lux rooms and a maid`s room.
Some of the interior design elements used for the interior and exterior are: white, royal blue and several shades of light blue and aqua for the interior and exterior paint as well as for all accessories throughout the hotel, such as dark blue draperies, white chiffon curtains, white and blue beddings, etc.
There are beige ceramic tiled floors on the main level, hallway, stairways, terraces and balconies, royal blue wall to wall carpeting in all rooms and upstairs hallways and blue Saltillo tiles in all bathrooms. All bathrooms have white pedestal sinks and toilets, glass enclosed showers with white base, mirror, fans and chrome light fixtures. The hotel is fully furnished with modern furniture mostly in maple and it features white and chrome or brushed nickel light fixtures and accessories as well as black accent elements. Large ocean and beach prints adorn the walls. The interior design, although almost finished is a work in progress and there will always be room for new ideas and ways to raise the comfort of our guests. We`ll be expecting large artificial tropical plants throughout the hotel, more large prints for the rooms and hallways, a few more small tables for the double rooms.
Rooms` description:
-2 standard rooms on the main floor: double bed with two nightstands, tv stand, wardrobe, two chairs, a small hallway with a coat rack and shoe storage, bathroom, cable TV, AC, no balcony.
-9 double rooms, three on each floor: six with king size bed and three with two single beds, two nightstands, tv stand, two chairs and a small table, wardrobe, hallway with coat rack and shoe storage, bathroom, cable TV, air conditioning, balcony with sea view.
-6 de lux rooms, two on each floor: king size bed, two nightstand, coffee table with two stools, wardrobe, spacious hallway with coat rack and shoe storage, large bathroom, cable TV, terrace with sea view, AC.
-3 apartments, one on each floor: bedroom with king size bed, two nightstands, coffee table with two ottomans and mirror, double wardrobe and balcony with sea view, spacious hallway with coat rack and shoe storage, spacious bathroom, living room with sofa bed, tv stand, coffee table, table with chairs, medium size refrigerator, cable TV, air conditioning, and terrace with sea view.
-1 full apartment: on the main floor, with an entrance from inside the hotel and another from the exterior, and access to back garden and terrace. This apartment features: large living room, two hallways, master bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, complete with wall and base cabinets, refrigerator, oven, full bathroom, laundry room, terrace and private garden. There are ceramic tiled floors on the hallways, kitchen, laundry room and bathroom, hardwood floors in the bedroom and living room.
The hotel was awarded two stars; a restaurant is required for three stars or more. If a small restaurant is to be added, this apartment can easily be renovated and transformed into an intimate restaurant with indoor, terrace and garden seating. The master bedroom can become an office.
The bar is fully equipped and it`s also a mini shop, offering drinks, snacks, ice cream, coffee, etc. and it stays open all day into the night. There is a sitting area set up with coffee tables, stools ad relaxing sofas as well as outdoor sitting on the wraparound terrace.
The underground garage can park around 8 to 10 cars. Additional parking is available in front and back of the hotel.
A game room, gym or other service/entertainment area can replace the garage if desired.
Other: stucco exterior, cinder blocks, cement, steel, solid construction, radiators on the main floor and some first floor; radiators to be installed in all rooms in the fall. Water heater/ gas/electric room in the basement. Exterior lights, spot lights, flag pole and landscaping established.

The hotel is well maintained and in running order, operating at full capacity, with all paperwork and requirements up to date. The hired personnel is usually: two or three maids, two or three receptionists, two bartenders, manager, driver (errands running, maintenance.).
Room rates vary with time in the season, which peaks in July and August. The season lasts from May 1st to September 30th, but the hotel stays open all year. The vicinity of Rompetrol Petro Midia Navodari offers great business opportunity offseason for Blue Wave; we have many guests who work in the area for a couple of months at the time or come on business trips all year round. That, together with lengthy holidays keep the rooms occupied year round.
