Real Estate investment in Natanya,

I would like to get some information about buying land in Natanya. The main objective for such a buy if it ever happened is purely investment. I want to buy, hold for sometime then hopefully sell for a profit.
Am I gambling? I have never visited the area or Israel for that matter but heard that it is one of the few countries that real estate investing was not affected by the recession. If and when I decide to invest, I will visit the country. I just need heads up. Any comment is appreciated.

Prices in Israel are continuing to rise. There is no foreseeable prospect of them dropping anytime soon. The only possibles problem is potential political insecurity leading to a drop in the very stron shekel. Some believe real estate is 30% overpriced - though this is not a common view. Netanya has a holiday - second home abroad market - but there is a large growth in supply matched with a weakness in the Euro (many buyers are from France.)
Its a small gamble to buy in Netanya. It will alsmost certainly be profitable.
